J.I.D. Red Rocks Amphitheatre Concert reviews
Sam's voice is as pure as ever
Sam J.I.D. was impressive when I saw him three years ago at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I convinced my wife and daughter to see him on his current 2026 tour, as I was so impressed. This show included many songs from his newest release and some of his older hits, and was much better produced. The backup singers and band on this tour appeared more powerful, adding to the enjoyment of the show. His voice remains the highlight, with no need for special effects, and I put it in the top three that I've seen live, along with Adele and Andrea Bocelli. The set was basic compared to other shows I've seen, but it was still a great experience. Sam J.I.D. was very personable, chatting between songs and expressing genuine gratitude to those who attended. I'd most likely see him again when he returns to the area. Two thumbs up!
